The Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve is California's only State Park set aside for preservation of the California Poppy. While the park is open year round, nearly everyone that visits does so during March and April when the park's wildflowers are in bloom.
The Poppy Reserve includes hiking trails, visitor center with a gift shop, picnic area, restrooms, and parking lot. Visitors will want to avoid visiting during high wind days and are advised to come early to obtain a parking space. Wildflowers can also be observed on the roads surrounding the reserve.
