Skydive Monterey Bay offers skydiving experiences from Marina Airport.
On a first skydive flight, you can expect the following:
- Training: You will receive a brief training session on basic skydiving techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
- Gear Up: You will be fitted with a skydiving harness and a parachute system, which you will wear during the jump.
- Plane Ride: The plane ride will typically last around 20-30 minutes, during which you will fly to an altitude of 10,000 to 14,000 feet.
- Jump: Once at the correct altitude, you will exit the plane and free fall for a minute or so, before the instructor deploys the parachute.
- Parachute Flight: During the parachute ride, you will have a chance to admire the scenery, control your descent, and communicate with your instructor via hand signals.
- Landing: You will land with the help of the instructor, who will guide you to a safe landing area on the ground.
